Privacy Policy

Ōree Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 7, 2026.

What Ōree does

Ōree is designed as a personal media companion for the services and libraries you choose to connect. The app does not sell, host, or distribute movies or TV shows.

Information Ōree uses

Ōree may use information from your connected services, such as media titles, artwork identifiers, playback progress, watch history, availability, request status, server addresses, and account tokens. This information is used to provide the app's core features, including browsing, playback context, recommendations, lists, requests, and continuity across sessions.

Optional permissions

If you grant permission, Ōree may read selected Health data, such as sleep information, to personalize suggestions. Ōree does not write data to Apple Health.

If you grant permission, Ōree may use your approximate current location to retrieve weather context and improve recommendations.

Ōree may use Apple iCloud key-value storage to keep small pieces of app state, such as WebDAV playback progress, in sync across your devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Push notifications may be used, when enabled, to deliver relevant app updates or service-related alerts.

Connected services

Ōree can connect to services you configure, such as Plex, WebDAV, Seerr, and public media metadata providers. When you connect a service, information may be exchanged with that service so Ōree can display media details, availability, playback state, requests, and related features. Those services process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Tracking and advertising

Ōree does not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Ōree does not sell personal data.

Data storage

Ōree stores app settings, authentication tokens, and media state on your device using Apple system storage such as Keychain, UserDefaults, local storage, and, when available, iCloud key-value storage. If you connect external services, those services may store or return data needed for their own operation.

Your choices

You can choose whether to connect optional services. You can manage Health, Location, Notifications, and iCloud permissions in Apple Settings. You can remove connected service credentials by signing out or clearing the related configuration inside Ōree, when available.
